Aines uses the power of words to engage listeners and drive action. She is a messaging strategist, speaker coach and co-author of Championing Science – Communicating Your Ideas to Decision Makers,
a book that covers communication, relationship-building and influence skills for success in the workplace. Her newest training program, Talking STEM, provides workshops and online courses
for technical experts and early career professionals who need to build the capabilities and confidence to speak up, be understood and win support for their ideas.
For the first half of her career, Aines helped technologists and telecommunications executives launch innovative products and build favorable reputations through effective communication. In 1999, she founded Damianakes Communications, a boutique consulting
firm serving clients from Genentech, McKesson, BioMarin, Gilead, Cisco, FirstNet, Vodafone and numerous emerging tech and biotech firms. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications studies from University of California, Santa Barbara and began
teaching public speaking as an undergraduate. She is a certified human capital strategist through the Human Capital Institute and passionate about helping smart people use proven communication methods to make a bigger impact through their work.
