Advocacy Committee Vice Chair Appointed

The National Postdoctoral Association (NPA) Board of Directors has appointed Cherry Cheuk Lam Cheung, Ph.D., as vice chair of the Advocacy Committee. She will join Azmi Ahmad, Ph.D., and Kylie Seltzer, Ph.D., in this committee leadership role. The mission of the Advocacy Committee is to monitor, discuss, debate, and develop strategies around advocacy and policy issues relating to and affecting the postdoctoral community; advise NPA staff and Board on potential actions; and educate the NPA postdoc community on self-advocacy.

 

Cheung is a scientist and science policy advocate with training in immunology and policy analysis, and experience connecting research, communication, and civic engagement to support the scientific community.
