The Academic Postdoc Hiring Fair is now a national, virtual recruitment event designed to connect PhD students and postdoctoral scholars with universities and research institutions actively recruiting postdoctoral talent (all tracks) across disciplines. Hosted on Handshake, this fair brings together Offices of Postdoctoral Affairs, academic units, and research programs seeking candidates for current and upcoming postdoctoral opportunities. Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with recruiting institutions through structured virtual group sessions and one-on-one conversations, gaining insight into postdoctoral roles, funding models, and institutional research priorities. Whether you are actively seeking a postdoctoral position in the next 6 months or exploring future academic pathways, this event offers meaningful benefits. Attendees can learn what institutions are hiring for, clarify timelines and expectations, and build early professional connections that often lead to future opportunities. For those in an active search, the fair provides direct access to recruiters and visibility for your CV beyond traditional application portals. Once registered, you will receive a link to share your CV with recruiters. The inaugural 2025 Academic Postdoc Hiring Fair attracted nearly 900 PhD and postdoctoral participants from 24 R1 Institutions nationwide, underscoring the strong demand for centralized, postdoc-focused recruiting. For 2026, we are expanding to a public virtual career fair that continues to prioritize access, transparency, and informed decision-making for postdoctoral scholars.
