Speakers:
Chelsea Gibson, Ph.D., serves as an associate manager for ORISE where she leads a team to manage research participation programs for the FDA and co-leads ORISE efforts to develop and execute engagement and professional development
opportunities for all participants in ORISE programs. By combining her past research experiences with her current role, Gibson is excited to help provide opportunities to develop the next generation of STEM professionals. Gibson earned her Bachelor
of Science in cellular and molecular biology at the University of Arizona (2012) and earned her doctorate in neuroscience from Vanderbilt University (2018).
Susannah Morgan serves as a project management specialist for ORISE where she has spent the past four+ years as part of a team managing research participation programs for agencies such as the EPA, the U.S. Forest Service, the
USDA Agricultural Research Service, and the Intelligence Community. With 24 years in the workforce, she brings talents and insights from a wide variety of backgrounds in teaching and leadership. Morgan earned her Bachelor of Arts in German at the
University of North Carolina Greensboro (2006).
Chris Nelson, Ed.D., serves as an education project manager for ORISE where he leads a team to manage research participation programs for the Department of Energy (DOE), National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), the National
Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). By combining his past experiences in public education with his current role, Nelson is excited to help provide opportunities to develop the next generation of STEM professionals. Nelson earned his Master of Science
in project management from Boston University and his doctorate in educational leadership and management from Drexel University.
