The NPA invites you, whether you are a postdoctoral scholar seeking a position or a leader of an organization seeking postdocs or other employees for your institution, to check out the NPA Career Center.
The NPA Career Center has experienced steady growth since its premiere in March 2017. A little over one year later, in May 2018, NPA website analytics show that employer registrations have grown by 88.9 percent and job views have increased by 318.6 percent. The best news yet is that job postings have grown 744.4 percent, and over 50,000 job views have occurred since this time last year. The NPA hopes to continue such amazing growth.
NPA Sustaining Members are eligible for 10 free postings per year, which is a wonderful opportunity for organizations to test out the Career Center and post not only their postdoc jobs, but also faculty and research positions. Additionally, postdocs can submit their resumes at no cost. Recruiters can review them blindly and then pay a small fee if they want to learn the contact information. This means that when a recruiter reaches a candidate, they believe the candidate is a good fit for the available position.
There are many types of jobs available. Most job opportunities NPA members have posted are for postdoc positions. However, in addition to these, there are a number of jobs from the 300+ career centers that Your Membership, the NPA’s website and customer relationship management vender, manages. Your Membership scrapes the other sites and, if a title fitting the search criteria comes up, the job is posted on the NPA Career Center website. Additionally, if other sites scrape the NPA site, our positions can be listed on those career sites. This increases the pool of jobs that a candidate can find.
The NPA staff are eager to be of any assistance to postdocs seeking positions or institutions seeking employees or postdocs. Please contact the office at contact@nationalpostdoc.org if you have any questions or suggestions. The NPA looks forward to continued growth and success for postdocs and the NPA.
