The National Postdoctoral Association (NPA) filed a formal response to the Request for Information (RFI) issued by the NIH entitled, Re-envisioning U.S. Postdoctoral Research Training and Career Progression within the Biomedical Research Enterprise. The NPA comments hit on a number of pressing issues that need to be addressed federally to advance the success of postdocs, including assistance in compensation and benefits, improved DEIA efforts, improved funding mechanisms, and more robust mentoring requirements.
