In today’s digital world, professional networking has become essential for career success. This workshop will provide participants with valuable insights and practical strategies to navigate the digital landscape and build a strong professional network. Postdocs will learn how to create a compelling online presence that showcases their skills and expertise, attracting relevant connections. They will also discover how to tap into digital networks to uncover job opportunities and foster professional growth.

Target Audience: Graduate students and/or postdocs, considering industry, academia

Speaker: Karin Lawton-Dunn, M.S. (she/her/hers), is the senior graduate career specialist in the Graduate College at Iowa State University. She has been in this role for nine years and has 30+ years of experience in K-12 and higher education programs and career coaching. She has presented to various audiences, including graduate students, postdocs, faculty, practitioners, and professionals nationally and internationally.
