Implementing Research Mentor Training through Your Postdoc Office

Attendees in the pre-meeting workshop will gain the knowledge needed to plan for successful implementation of research mentor training for postdocs and/or their mentors using curricula in the evidence-based Entering Mentoring series. Curricula in this series have been used successfully with research mentors of undergraduates, graduate students, post-doctoral trainees and faculty across science, engineering, mathematics, medicine and public health disciplines.

Attendees will:
● Become familiar with the research mentor training curricula
● Be able to describe evidence supporting the effectiveness of mentor and mentee training
● Be able to describe the resources available to implement mentor training
● Develop the knowledge to implement mentor training
● Be able to articulate practical plans for implementing mentor training at home institution
