The National Postdoctoral Association (NPA) has partnered with the New York Academy of Sciences (the Academy) to provide a unified voice for postdoctoral scholars across the United States through mutually beneficial activities.

As part of this partnership, the Academy and the NPA will promote each other’s events and initiatives, along with collaborating on professional development resources, in order to help create a larger postdoctoral community and draw attention to the common issues facing postdocs in the United States. Additionally, the Academy and the NPA will each offer a discount on individual, postdoc memberships to members of the other organization at a 20 percent discount.

The Academy seeks to drive innovative solutions to society's challenges by advancing scientific research, education and policy. The NPA strives to improve the postdoctoral experience by supporting enhanced research training and a culture of enhanced professional growth to benefit scholarship and innovation.
