The National Postdoctoral Association (NPA) is a nonprofit, 501(c)3 professional association that advocates on behalf of postdoctoral scholars – individuals holding doctoral degrees who are pursuing a temporary period in which they obtain additional scholarly training and professional development necessary for a wide range of career paths. Established in 2003, the NPA serves individual postdoctoral scholars and the institutions and organizations that support them.

In recognition of the NPA’s 15 years of service to the postdoctoral community, the Board of Directors is pleased to introduce a new organizational logo. Introduced in January 2018, this new logo seeks to highlight the potential of our members, both as scholars on the brink of discovery and leaders engaging the community in critical discussions and advocacy initiatives pertaining to mentorship, inclusiveness, and professional development and recognition.
