Corporations, nonprofits, and governmental organizations, as well as colleges and universities, value and want a diverse workforce. As a prospective employee you will be asked about how you support diversity regardless of whether or not you belong to an under-represented group. Therefore, they will look positively upon job applicants with knowledge in this area. This is one of the core competencies postdoctoral scholars should pursue regardless of their background.
