This hands on practical talk will help you understand the function of anxiety, how it can interfere with your career growth and progress, and then practical ways to overcome anxiety. This talk will help you develop a hands on plan to tackle any form of anxiety that may be interfering in your career progress or trajectory.

The primary clinical and research interests of Scott Cypers, Ph.D., focuses on anxiety and stress related issues. Cypers is the director of anxiety programs at the Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Depression Center at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Cypers has worked for the past 13 years in various clinical roles including director of anxiety and stress programs at Children’s Hospital Colorado, psychologist working with active duty military at Buckley Mental Health, as well as working for many universities in student health services in various roles. At each place he has worked, he has built innovative programs to address the range of mental health issues, most notably in the areas of stress, anxiety, and promoting help seeking behaviors.
