Description

The Strategic Planning Committee, in conjunction with the ED, shall be responsible for monitoring progress in implementing the strategic plan, and for proposing updates to the plan on an annual basis. The committee will oversee the programmatic efforts of all ad-hoc committees charged with implementing the various goals and objectives that comprise the strategic plan.

Responsibilities

• Recommend priorities relating to implementation of the strategic plan
• Establishes charges for committees, task forces and work groups relating to implementation of the strategic plan (in consultation with the Board Development Committee).
• Assess progress in implementing the strategic plan on a monthly basis, seeking updates from committee chairs as appropriate, and provide needed guidance in order to keep programs on-track.
• Conduct an annual review of the strategic plan and make recommendations for possible revisions to the full Executive Board.
• Coordinate implementation of strategic planning elements that are cross-cutting and affect multiple membership committees, task forces or workgroups.
• Review and evaluate programs and services delivered by the NPA to ensure their efficacy and consistency with the mission, goals and values of the association.

Criteria to Serve

In order to serve on this committee you must meet one of the following criterias:

• Member of the NPA Executive Board or NPA Advisory Board
• Appointment from the NPA Executive Board
