August 18, 2011 The recently formed National Institutes of Health (NIH) Biomedical Research Working Group, a working group of the Advisory Committee to the NIH Director, is seeking to, according to the NIH Web site, "Develop a model for a sustainable and diverse U.S. biomedical research workforce that can inform decisions about training of the optimal number of people for the appropriate types of positions that will advance science and promote health." Follow this link to read more. On August 17, the group issued a request for information, and the NPA Board of Directors' Executive Committee will be responding to this request. NPA members and friends are invited to share their thoughts with the Board by sending an e-mail to contact{at}nationalpostdoc.org and putting "NIH Working Group" in the subject line or via our contact form.
