Family-Friendly Policies
Institutional Policy: NPA Institutional Policy Database This database is still newly being repopulated since its re-opening in 2010, at which time it had information on postdoctoral policies from over 200 institutions. The best way to use it is to browse an individual institution's entries which often include a number of annotations from the institution. You can query based on a certain characteristic of interest or by institution name. Some policies are different depending on how postdocs are classified at a given institution. Institutions will have their own appointment titles for each classification, but the three general postdoc appointment classifications used in this database are: Institute funded (typically grant funded) You can start your search here: http://database.nationalpostdoc.org/pddb/filter_search NPA ADVANCE Clearinghouse of Promising Practices
