Connect With the Next Generation of Academia & Industry

Now approaching its 15th year, the Annual Meeting remains the largest national meeting and networking event dedicated to the postdoctoral community. The event has grown over the years and we anticipate approximately 400 attendees, including postdoctoral scholars, administrators, and faculty. Disciplinary societies, industry, and organizations attend from across the nation.

Postdoctoral scholars conduct research and support discovery in biomedical sciences, physical sciences, social & behavioral sciences, and humanities. They represent the next generation of academia and industry.

The NPA will host an information session the afternoon of Friday, March 17, for companies to showcase their opportunities and interact with postdoctoral scholars. This will be a round-table, speed meet-and-greet session, where companies will give a five-minute presentation and each postdoc will introduce themselves.

175 to 200 postdoc scholars are expected to attend. The NPA will provide the participating company with a registration list to start networking ahead of time if you wish. All meeting participants can also network on the conference event app before and after the meeting. Participants have really enjoyed and benefited from this tool.

Tentative schedule for the session (2 hours 45 minutes):

  • 15 minutes: introductions and instructions on how the event will work
  • 1 hour 15 minutes: speed networking
  • 15 minutes: break
  • 1 hour: speed networking

Immediately following this session will be the opening reception for the conference where you can continue your conversations with postdocs.

As part of this package, each company will receive two complimentary meeting registrations (sending two representatives is not required, but encouraged), participation in the Career Connections event, and an ad on the event app.

Space is limited, so reserve your spot today! Contact Kryste Ferguson, M.Ed., Membership Manager, for more information.
