With the presidential transition process officially underway, the National Postdoctoral Association (NPA) looks forward to the opportunity to work together with the new administration to continue to support the needs of the postdoctoral community and the research enterprise as a whole. The NPA remains committed to its goal of improving the postdoctoral experience by working with the new administration, Congressional leaders, Federal agencies, research institutions and postdoctoral scholars. We will continue to develop new programs and policies to enhance postdoctoral training, compensation, and benefits while advocating the NPA’s Recommendations for Postdoctoral Policies and Practices. We are proud of the inclusivity values and standards that the NPA has and will always, maintain. The NPA will continue to promote diversity and ensure equal opportunity and inclusion for all postdocs in the membership, leadership and activities of the NPA regardless of race, ethnicity, sex, disability, national origin, socio-economic status, religion, sexual orientation, or gender identity. It is vital that the postdoctoral community comes together to continue its work towards these common goals and ensure that the progress made by NPA during its 15-year existence continues.
