How to Join

Affiliate Membership

The NPA is pleased to offer the affiliate membership to for students, postdocs, faculty, and employees at NPA Sustaining Member institutions. The affiliate membership allows individuals at selected Sustaining Member institutions* to enjoy some of the same benefits as NPA Full Members. For more on membership, please read Article II in our Bylaws on Membership.

As an NPA Affiliate Member, you are entitled to these benefits:

Subscription to NPA E-Alerts, a periodic news announcement, and the POSTDOCket, the NPA’s official quarterly newsletter
Reduced registration fees to the NPA Annual Meeting & eligibility for the NPA Travel Award Program
Access to members-only NPA web content

How to Join

Joining the NPA as an affiliate member is easy. Just follow these steps:

Create an MyNPA account.

To create an account, go to MyNPA. Then, click on "New Visitor Registration." Follow the instructions. You must use the institutional name and the e-mail address provided by your institution. Private or personal e-mails will not be accepted. These will be used to verify your eligibility.

2 Submit a request for affiliate membership.

Go to the Online Store and select "Request for Affiliate Membership." Be sure to follow through and "checkout." This request will initiate a review of your account. Within five business days, your record will be reviewed by matching your company's name and your e-mail address associated with your institution against our list of Sustaining Members. After the review, you will receive an approval notification.

If you want to join, go to MyNPA and create your account today.

Please note: If your institution is not a sustaining member, please encourage them to become a member. Sustaining memberships may be purchased by a postdoc association, postdoc office, or any other administrative entity associated with your institution. We can help you by providing a packet of sustaining membership benefit information. Contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. If your institution does not wish to purchase a sustaining membership, we encourage you to enroll as a full dues-paying individual member of the NPA. Individual members are eligible for additional benefits that affiliate members do not receive.
