You may register for the full Annual Meeting or choose Friday, Saturday, or Sunday-only registration. (Details about one-day registrations are available on the registration page.)

Meeting Registration includes:

  • Meeting program book and other materials;
  • Participation in a jam-packed meeting, including a Keynote Address, plenaries, workshops, and a poster session. Witness the presentation of the 2014 Distinguished Service Award (DSA) and the 2014 NPA Garnett-Powers & Associates, Inc. Mentor Award;
  • Refreshment breaks;
  • Vouchers for lunch on Friday and Saturday; and
  • Great opportunities to network (one of the most valued elements of the NPA meetings as reported by attendees)!

Optional Saturday Night Event 

Join meeting participants on Saturday night for an outing at City Museum! City Museum is unlike any other museum - it's a unique all-ages playground filled with caves, slides and climbing apparatus made from recycled and found objects. Housed in the 600,000 square-foot former International Shoe Company, the museum is an eclectic mixture of children's playground, funhouse, surrealistic pavilion, and architectural marvel made out of unique, found objects. City Museum boasts features such as old chimneys, salvaged bridges, construction cranes, miles of tile, and even two abandoned planes! And did we mention the caves and the slides?  For more information check out their website at http://www.citymuseum.org or watch this video starting at 8:30: http://vimeo.com/40615426.  Trust us - this is going to be fun!

The cost for this event is $50 and is an additional charge and not included in your meeting registration fees. Cost includes bus transportation to & from the City Museum, dinner in a private reserved room with a cash bar available, and general admission to the City Museum (excludes the roof and the Aquarium).

Note: City Museum highly recommends that sneakers or closed-toe, closed-heel shoes are worn in the museum. Sandals/flip flops are strongly discouraged. Please note that, regardless of style, footwear must be worn at all times. We'd also like to recommend that you consider wearing full-length pants or jeans, as you will want to take advantage of our multiple slides, tunnels and various attractions.

Demographics

We will ask for some demographic information. Your responses will be kept confidential and anonymous. The aggregate results will be used in grant writing and reporting.

Group Registration

Unfortunately, due to the limitations of our online software, we are not able to offer group registrations with one log-in. Those registering multiple individuals will need to obtain each person's NPA log-in information and permission to log in as that person to register her or him. You will need certain information for each person (download a preview of the registration form to see what information is required). If you wish to receive one invoice for all of the persons you are registering, please select "Bill me" when you get to the check-out page and send an e-mail to Amy Wilson, the NPA's Office and Marketing Manager ( This email address is being protected from spambots. Full or Affiliate Members receive substantial discounts on meeting registration fees. If you would like to become either a Full, Individual (dues-paying) Member or an Affiliate Member (your institution must be a Sustaining Member of the NPA) to save on fees, you must do so BEFORE registering. Refund Policy

In event of cancellation by March 12, 2014, a full refund less a $25 processing fee will be issued. For cancellations from March 13, 2014, through March 21, 2014 a 50% refund less a $25 processing fee will be issued. No refunds will be made for cancellations after March 21, 2014


Lodging

"The Parkway Hotel is steps away from the Metro Link light rail system, making it easy to visit downtown St. Louis, Clayton and many attractions including: Busch Stadium, Scottrade Center, Union Station, Washington University, Cathedral Basilica, Forest Park and the St. Louis Zoo." A free hot breakfast buffet is offered each morning from 6:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. If you aren’t interested in the free breakfast at the hotel, breakfast is available across the street at Panera or Central Table or at Einstein Bros Bagels at Euclid & Laclede. St. Louis Bread Company is Panera – STL Bread Co is the original name, they started in STL.

The GO! STL Marathon goes down Forest Park Parkway in front of the Parkway Hotel on Sunday morning. Check back for additional information re: travel delays.

There is a small block of rooms available for Annual Meeting attendees at The Chase Park Plaza. A special rate of $162 per night (plus tax) has been negotiated for meeting attendees. 10th Annual Washington University Postdoc Scientific Symposium

All Annual Meeting attendees are invited to arrive in St. Louis a day early for the 10th Annual Washington University Postdoc Scientific Symposium. The symposium will be from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2014 on the School of Medicine campus. The symposium will feature a panel discussion with the first symposium committee, five WU postdoc science talks, a keynote speaker, and a poster session with reception.
