  • Monitor external policies and developments on diversity issues.
  • Address public inquiries on the NPA policies and recommended practices on increasing and maintaining diversity within the postdoc community.

Paulette McRae received her B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers University and her Ph.D. in Neurobiology from Yale University.  Upon the completion of her thesis project she started her Postdoctoral training in the lab of Amy Brooks-Kayal, M.D. at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where she is studying epilepsy.   She has worked with the Offices of Diversity at Yale University and Rutgers University during her respective tenure at both institutions.  She was a diversity fellow at Yale University and as such was intimately involved in implementing programs and resources that would help recruit and retain a diverse student body at the graduate school level and beyond.  She was selected to represent Yale University at the National Conference of Graduate Student Leaders where she chaired the session on diversity and inclusion.  In 2007 she became an active member in the NPA.
