NPA ADVANCE Technical Assistance

NPA ADVANCE offers technical assistance for institutions seeking to implement programs or practices that assist postdoc women in advancing their careers. This assistance can include both remote and on-site consultation. On-site consultation will require cost sharing.

Some examples of technical assistance available:

  • Presentation on current issues facing postdoc women and what these women can do to be proactive in advancing their careers (See a recent example from Medical College of Wisconsin);

  • Webinars on issues related to postdoctoral women for various audiences;

  • Presentation on key institutional practices that can help retain postdoc women in academia and promote their transition in to the professoriate;

  • Consultation on strategies for implementing family-friendly and career-building policies for postdocs; and

  • Information on postdoctoral programs that hold promise for adaptation at a range of institutions.
