Combined Call for 2015 Annual Meeting Proposals Now Open!

August 1, 2014

The 2015 National Postdoctoral Association (NPA) Meetings Committee is seeking proposals for Innovation in Action sessions, poster presentations, 60-minute workshops, and 90-minute workshops to share unique training programs, best practices and success stories for the postdoctoral community. The 13th Annual Meeting will take place March 13 - 15, 2015 at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.

Proposals selected will support the NPA's meeting goals, which are:

  • Provide a forum for exchange between the NPA and its membership, with respect to policies, programs, best practices and collaborative efforts among institutions, industry, societies and organizations;
  • Foster leadership, professional and career development skills for prospective and current postdocs, postdoctoral association (PDA)/postdoctoral office (PDO) leadership in order to more effectively serve the postdoctoral community at their institutions and nationally;
  • Ensure a diversity of topics and perspectives by including presenters and panelists drawn from diverse backgrounds with content that is relevant to and inclusive of multiple disciplines, international perspectives and underrepresented minority backgrounds.

A proposal may be submitted for more than one type of session as long as it meets the requirements for each venue. If you submit a proposal to be considered for multiple venues, you will be asked to rank your order of preference, since your proposal may be selected for only one. Each individual presenter may only be included in two proposal submissions.

Proposals will be accepted through Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at 11:59 p.m. ET. Click here for more details about submitting a proposal.
