|NPA Announces New POSTDOCket Editor|
January 7, 2014
The National Postdoctoral Association (NPA) is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Rachel Linger, Ph.D., as editor-in-chief of the POSTDOCket, the NPA's quarterly newsletter.
Linger strongly supports the mission of the NPA, and she served as an associate editor of the POSTDOCket since January 2012. Linger received a doctoral degree in pharmacology from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in 2005. After completing postdoctoral work investigating novel therapeutic strategies in leukemia and lung cancer, she left research to pursue a career in teaching. She is currently an assistant professor of pharmacology at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, Colorado. In her free time, she enjoys Pilates and spending time outdoors with her husband and their two children.
Linger will replace Leah Fischer, Ph.D., who served as POSTDOCket editor-in-chief since January 2013, and associate editor before then. The NPA would like to thank Dr. Fischer for her service and her support of the NPA.
Effective December 2013 Linda Yang, Ph.D., will serve as POSTDOCket associate editor. Linger and Yang will join POSTDOCket associate editors Margaret Elvekrog, Ph.D and Melissa St. Hilaire, Ph.D. on the newsletter's editorial staff.
